CSDP - The CSDP is intended for mid-level software engineering professionals. Before taking the exam, candidates are required to have a baccalaureate or equivalent degree and at least 9,000 hours of experience in at least 6 of the 11 knowledge areas the exam covers.

CSDA - CSDA takes a broad view of software development and validates knowledge of the foundations of computer science, mathematics and engineering. Core software engineering principles are covered, including software construction, software design, software testing, software requirements and software methods forthcoming from client.
